At the Batten College, we provide experiences and support to empower students from all backgrounds to secure and thrive in rewarding careers in engineering and technology. Students work in a range of areas, such as building and testing autonomous vehicles, developing life-saving biomedical devices, planning coastal resilience strategies, researching human-robot interaction and building small satellites to be launched into space.
Departmental Highlights
The Engineering and 技术 faculty and staff of Old Dominion University cordially invite teachers, 辅导员, prospective students and parents to learn more about Old Dominion's engineering programs and facilities. 项目 begin at 2 p.m. on the first Friday of every month, (with the exception of January and July) and last approximately 2 hours.

With valuable resources such as in-depth new student orientation, academic advising, student-led research at our Enterprise Centers and industry partnerships, as well as a dedicated engineering student success team, your path to success is at your disposal.
EEAP was established in 2001 to attract, retain and develop female students in the traditionally male-dominated field of engineering.
Benjamin Belfore, a newly minted Ph.D. in electrical engineering, devised the world’s second-best spin polarized photocathode.
